Thyme is a restored historic Cotswold manor and farm. It is a family story where a passion for the land, food and entertaining, merges with a love of local heritage, beauty and conservation. We took time to make Thyme. Working with the historic buildings and the farm that surrounds them, we have created a thoughtful place with love and attention lavished on every detail. Thyme hopes you will experience a real connection to the land, the seasons and to nature, and they invite you to rest, relax and enjoy this English country idyll that the family call home.

All the bedrooms, small, medium and large are individually decorated, with colours inspired by their botanical names and graced with carefully sourced antique pieces, no two rooms are the same. All have beautifully comfortable mattresses and linens and have views of the gardens, some through small, some with larger windows and some look over to the farm too. All rooms are arranged throughout our houses, cottages and barns that constitute our “village within a village’. Gravel garden pathways lead you through the gardens and courtyards that link all the village buildings.

A home away from home, exclusive lets of the houses and cottages make the perfect week away. Thyme would be delighted to create the perfect stay for you and can offer a number of lovely services to elevate your stay, whether it be a fully stocked larder, delicious prepared meals and dinner parties.

RESTAURANT

Ox Barn - The nineteenth-century former oxen house is now our Ox Barn restraunt under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. A state-of-the-art piece of agricultural architecture at its conception, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the soaring archways and original Cotswold stone rubble walls. Now, it's a modern restaurant with a contemporary bar and seven-and-a-half metre Charvet open kitchen.

The Baa - an elegant space to enjoy a coffee and a newspaper during the day or a fresh cocktail in the evening.
