Light and airy, Beach House Brancaster sleeps 10 comfortably. The 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin rooms should cover most family or friends' sleeping arrangements. Living space is flexible across a large kitchen, sitting room, glazed hallway leading onto a spacious terrace and garden.

Beach House Brancaster has been restored to more than just a coastal holiday let - designed by Norfolk by Design curator Davina Barber, it has been furnished and decorated with work by Norfolk artists and makers. From the lighting and the furniture to the fabrics, ceramics and artwork, almost everything you see will have been lovingly made for the house by our stable of local artists and craftsmen.

The house was built in 2002 along within a development of six houses and converted barns right in the centre of Brancaster, but set well back from the busy coast road and just a 15 minute walk to the endlessly long sandy beach. The house itself is of traditional construction with chalk faced and brick elevations under clay pan-tiled roofs and provides well proportioned, sunlit rooms. The decent sized rear garden is walled and private. Facing South-West, the terrace is great for daytime sun and sunset drinks, with a view looking towards the medieval village Church with its square tower. Additionally there is plenty of private parking, a double garage and boat store.

The house sleeps ten with two additional pull out mattress beds for children. (Please bring travel cots for small ones although be aware of the creative nature of this house. Most artwork will be out of reach of small paws, but adults will be expected to take responsibility for any breakages/damage). Bed linen and towels by Cologne & Cotton. All bathrooms within the house have been fully renovated, complete with high quality fixtures and good water pressure. Using contemporary decorative finishes including Bert and May tiles, handmade mirrors and splashbacks, locally sourced elm vanity units and beautifully designed lighting, the small bathrooms sing for their supper.

The charming village of Brancaster is the perfect base from which to explore the North Norfolk Coast’s legendary nature reserves, expansive family-friendly beaches and stately homes, and to enjoy a wide range of outdoor pursuits from sailing and golf to kite surfing and seal spotting.
